# 4 Factors to Consider When Hiring a Digital Marketing Agency in Myanmar
[By - May Phoo Pan,](https://mayphoopan.com/blog/author/may-phoo-pan) Aug 12, 2024
Choosing the right digital marketing agency in Myanmar is a critical decision for business growth in today's digital landscape. While many businesses rush to partner with the biggest or most popular agencies in Yangon, the truth is more nuanced. Every business has unique strengths and goals - which means the best digital marketing agency for your business might not be the most famous one.
Whether you're seeking an affordable digital marketing partner or Myanmar's top agency, there are essential factors to consider before making this strategic investment.
"There is no one-size-fits-all agency for any brand."

# 4-step checklist to find the best digital marketing agency
## 1. Clarify your marketing goals, and your team capacity & prepare a Creative Advertising Agency RFP
Before selecting an agency, the marketing manager or person-in-charge (PIC) from the brand side should prepare a [creative advertising agency RFP](https://mayphoopan.com/pre-designed-agency-templates). This document should analyze the brand's needs in terms of deliverables and required resources from the agency that will help achieve their business goals.
It ensures clarity, consistency, and professionalism while streamlining the evaluation process and enhancing communication
## 2. **Setting the marketing advertising budget **
Set the amount of budget you will spend for your brand for marketing and advertising for a year in draft and break it down into 4 quarters so that you understand the minimum amount you can invest with the agency's pricing and minimum contract terms. This knowledge aids in financial planning and prevents unforeseen expenses.
## 3. **Get to know your agency's dedicated team's size, expertise, teamwork & communication style **
Advertising agencies typically operate through dedicated small teams assigned to specific client accounts. Each team takes full responsibility for their clients' business needs and objectives.
If possible, schedule an in-person agency visit during the pitch process to observe their working environment and culture firsthand. Most importantly, request to meet the actual team members who will be managing your account, not just the pitch team. This allows you to assess the expertise and capabilities of the professionals who will be directly responsible for your brand's success.
## 4. **Portfolio and client testimonials **
One of the well-known checklists is to see the agency's past performance. Examining their portfolio, case studies & client testimonials can offer crucial information.
These elements demonstrate the agency's capacity to execute effective campaigns and achieve client goals.
Selecting the right digital marketing agency is a strategic decision that significantly impacts your business growth. Key evaluation criteria should include the agency's core competencies, track record of successful campaigns, and cultural alignment with your organization.

Before hiring an agency, it's important for brands to clearly understand their needs and expected deliverables before beginning the agency selection process. Before engaging any agency, establish clear objectives and deliverables. While compelling presentations are important, prioritize agencies that demonstrate practical implementation capabilities and measurable results over those that excel solely in pitch presentations.
